Should show him a LIDAR map, really eases the fear some people have about this tech. LIDAR literally maps it's 3d environment in microseconds, which is why they are so much better than human drivers. They understand it's 360degree surroundings better than anything ever could in a time frame impossible for any living thing to comprehend.
Waymo has been killin it with the driverless tech recently, they are in most major cities in the US for years already, and have like zero accidents on their record (all recorded accidents have been from fault-drivers).
