I'm close friends with tons of artists from high school and even college. I know what the process of making art is like, as you showed off here. However, I am not an artist and because of that, I can't really put to words what I would like to see in a certain piece of artwork. Let's say that I wish to hire the services of a human artist for a commission of any sort. Would it not be advantageous for me, someone who cannot create nor properly describe art, to turn to AI so that I can produce an image that closely resembles my commission idea so that the human artist can comfortably create a meaningful final piece of work? If I were to ask for a commission, I would likely be using the same "prompts" that you'd use for AI image generation, including allusions to prominent artists, types of coloration, shading, and lighting styles. I completely agree that AI art lacks any meaning or purpose. If anything, AI art is only capable of reflecting what someone might imagine in their own head, which, will genuinely contain ideas I never originally made. I can even use AI to make ideas I originally thought of into tangible work that can be further compounded on with the guidance of a human artist.
