8:46 Popular media seems to be hung up on the "sentience" aspect of AI (aka, sci-fi plots like "The Terminator"). Perhaps that is a distant theoretical possibility, but far before that even starts to happen we're going to be facing world-changing disruption because the power of AI is NOT going to be distributed evenly. Whoever has it will use it to enrich themselves at the expense of everyone else. Can we please grow up and recognize that it's not about the robots? It's the people who own them that we need to worry about.
