I am an AI expert researching how to mimic feelings in an AI. I'm telling you - there is no way now nor in the near future that AI can be sentient, that is, self-aware. Why? Because we don't know how "being self aware" really is! If we can't understand that, we can't model it or program it baby! It really IS that simple! I have 3 masters in AI and over 5 years experience in the filed: can't be done yet, and not anytime soon!
