(edit : I wrote this before the end of the talk, where they do talk about emotions, but I'll leave my comment because I still think it's important we pay more attention to this part)

Isn't anyone going to talk about emotions ?!? If AI clearly lacks something that is being able to feel. You can't really be seriously talking about intelligence if it's not rooted in emotional comprehension of the world. But I guess this is a byproduct of our capitalist society, we don't understand the need for emotion, nor do we care to understand them.
An AI couldn't possibly "want" to destroy humanity if it doesn't understand "hate", but it also couldn't want to save humanity if doesn't understand "compassion".
I think our best chance to save ourselves lies in these questions, and their answers ...
