I have aphantasia and I am also autistic which in my case affects my fine motor skills and depth perception. These issues make some parts about art quite difficult for me, but I love to draw regardless. My take on AI "art" is that it is not yours, you didnt draw it, so you are not an artist for typing in a prompt. All you did is allow a machine to steal other artists work for you and put it together, all you did was type a few words out. It requires no skill, no ability to actually physically draw, no effort. An accommodation is when something helps you do something, not when something does it for you. It makes me upset that people use disabilities as an excuse for theft. Making AI art while calling yourself an artist is the equivalent of paraphrasing an entire book someone else wrote and putting your name on it and calling yourself an author. edit: I want to add that my boyfriends brother also does art, and he is both colorblind and legally blind. He doesnt use color in his art because of this, but his drawings are quite impressive. He has to use special lenses while he draws, but that doesnt stop him. He also agrees that AI art is theft.
