the problem with the current approach is artist are targeting AI, AI is not bad and neither is AI art, both will in the long run will result in more people having access to the field of art and act as a powerful tool for anyone who needs it. The actual problem as mentioned here is artist not being credited and not being asked for consent in the use of thier work to train these models, and that also this could result in artist losing money or having thier name besmirched, however again targeting AI will do nothing to alleviate any of those issues nor will it result in any positives for the artist who are and will be affected by AI art, and "fighting AI" comes across (and sorry if this sounds offensive not sure how else to put this) as cavemen beating up the people who discovered fire because it burned them once. Come down on the companies profiting off of the stolen work of others, and then support ethically sourced models for AI whenever they pop up. Ps: the human touch thing is usually the result of the person's entire life as perceived by all thier senses, basically its also just a data set but an extremely large and complex one, what you're all seeing lacking in AI currently is due to it basically being a baby, it can only sorta see the basic shape of things and hear words describing the thing it's trying to look at, this is why models with smaller amounts of data tend to copy the inputed art pieces whereas large data models don't unless the user intentionally attempts to do so by messing with settings. That's also why the whole secret watermark plan to "take down ai" wouldn't work very well the only AIs that would include said work would be the ones drawing from giant databases like danbooru so the work wouldn't be copied in the first place to have the watermark since there'd be enough data for the AI to create more original pieces
