If we as a species are not able to stop killing each other all over the planet for thousands of years, wars for oil, geopolitical gain, corporate greed etc etc, then what chance do we stand of being able to make AI safe.....as he says, "while there is still a chance". Absolutely none, that's how much. And he hasn't factored in the civil unrest etc that's coming just after mass joblessness, buy a good sailboat, learn to live off it, prepare, and go far away, because it's real, it's happening already, and greedy selfish humanity is far too dumb to stop this.
