I think the big question is what drives the super intelligence. If its whats best for itself, humans, the earth etc. they all lead to totally different outcomes. Life is driven to replicate but why do we assume AI will be driven by that. Isnt an equally likely outcome super intelligence just turns its self off because it can see the end result.
