1:55 It's tricky because most people have done _something_ naughty, and circumstances could provoke someone to re-offend in certain ways, so it's not as simple as that. It's really hard to quantify it. Also, the kid has a higher chance of re-offending simply because she has more year in which to do so vs the old guy.
There are many variables, many factors that must be taken into consideration, so the full equation can get pretty complex. - I'm all for using math and computers to do stuff, and I think a well-made A.I. could probably simplify this quite effectively if it's treated properly and fed good, unbiased data.
Either way, the end, no matter what happens, I'm still left with the same question: WHY? What's the point? What is this even for? Are they trying to determine how long to sentence someone for? Are they even trying to rehabilitate? Are they trying to determine how much to fine them? This whole thing seems suspiciously pointless. 🤨
