Why would the media not report this as it is. Companies are cutting jobs not because of AI or automation at large. The cuts, mainly in big tech come due to need for cash to invest in AI and prove they are more or less making some profit. As well, this hype and clearly a bubble must be regulated. Nothing else. Yes, some jobs are replaced by automation but this is certainly not AI replacement.
