Driverless truck driving is not truly feasible. I used to be a truck driver, and I've been working as an AI engineer for the past five years. One major issue is the human factor, which many AI advancements tend to ignore. In rural areas, for example, trucks without drivers become easy targets for theft—there’s no human presence, and often no enforcement of rules.
We've already faced similar problems with a driverless taxi project—some customers even stole the engine, tires, and other components.
