My nightmare is having a handfull of oligarchs owning the AI, keeping all the benefits, and the 99% starving to extinction. I don't worry about having too much free time, people find what to do and, as long as we still have social connections, it can be a very good thing. For me, the problem is to make sure that the AI is doing the work and the humans are doing the fun. If the AI is narcisistic like and demands our full attention we're doomed! So, we need to train our children to social interact! Not to work (as we do today). And, the social contract has to change dramatically! Either everything is for free and money is not needed or the government and/or campanies have to distribute money in exchange for ... nothing. After all, the AI demands investment but not salary and the productivity is over the top.
