I've participated in NaNoWriMo since 2006. I use it as a tool to keep track of my progress through November, I never use the discord or forums, I don't talk to anyone. I almost never read the emails from them. I like to write, report my progress and leave. I had NO IDEA that anything going on in the forums, or this whole AI thing. Whelp. Last year was my last year ever using that site. I will be writing on my own this November with the support of my tiny following.
