I read about the paper "Finding Peter Putnam" they talked there a different kind of model when it comes to intelligence and what they use right now is Alan Turings model, deduction model which is very different from human intelligence and one that don't know how to learn or set its own rules. What Putnams theory is induction theory, that the system makes it own rules and learn by itself. It the current model of AI, the Turing model, the deduction model, for them to reach what they said AGI and to help businesses, they would really need to keep building data centers bigger and bigger because the current model don't know how to learn by itself, don't know how to set the rules by itself and learn, it is a very advance pattern matching machine that is prone to hallucinations as the data centers get bigger. These CEOs use too much exaggeration of their language for more investments and masses is eating it up.
