I realllllly despise the SilValley Ai tech cult sentiment that "we need to build god or the devil, but we dont know which it will be until its done. And we have to do it because/before someone else will, so WE, "the good guys", can "control" god or the devil" (as if that's actually gonna work and it'll stay on its leash). Its sooo fucking stupid and reckless. And thats literally what many of them believe. Not even a joke or analogy. They literally think that theyre building god/satan.
