This video really sounds like strawmaning... Reducing everyone who doesn't agree with you in that little box and stamping a name on it, so it's easier to ridicule them. First of all, I don't call everyone who makes a living by drawing an "artist". You need more than that to meaningfully contribute to art History. As you like putting labels, let's call them "graphic workers". I think AI can be a great tool and it will change the way people will get images done, just like photography did before. Some people like you rejected photography, they tried to ignore it, making irrelevant paintings while some others ventured in impressionism and other meaningful new artistic currents. Certain artists and graphic workers even embraced photography, making it part of their creative process. I can't predict the future, but I don't think it will replace artists, but it can already replace a lot of the graphic workers, making their process faster and easier. I'm a developer, I don't work on AI, I work on WEB applications. I don't feel threatened yet, but I've seen some parts of that profession getting automated and more accessible to everyone. I don't really need AI for my job, not yet... But I used it on a personal game project, so I'm not against the idea of using it. I never fully trust its answers, just like I wouldn't fully trust a lot of other sources. But it can be very helpful and a source of inspiration. AI helps me quickly prototype new ideas to test them. It can help me solving specific problems. And it produced a lot of concept design very quickly, that would have needed a lot of money and time to be done by a professional. So, no, I'm not an AI stan, but I also don't thing it should be viewed as trash.
