I studied cognitive psychology and AI in the early 80s. I wrote a paper back then using exactly the same premise that Dr. Hinton discussed around 1:05.
Now I work in nature tourism. I think jobs in that industry although not recession proof will remain relatively AI proof. At least until practical and affordable AI/neural interfaces are perfected.
