yea no. hes not being accused of being a commie bc he wants to make buses free. he is being accused of being a commie because he wants government run grocery stores, removing landlords' ability to increase rent in already rent controlled areas and he doesnt live in the area he wants to represent. not to mention he's a rich boi who is running using daddy's money.
also, why wouldnt we be able to get hover-chairs? if you told people 2 hundred years ago that everyone would be carrying around a shiny rock with them at all times, they'd be confused. if you told them said shiny rock would let you communicate with nearly anyone all over the world, they'd laugh.
also, who said state issued? theyre obviously gonna be sold as commodities like any other tech (phone, tablet, car, bike etc.) maybe the government is gonna offer tax incentives to make you more likely to purchase them but that's likely it until we become a different species merged with ai through neuralink.
it sounds crazy until its reality. i mean, there is literally so many things that humanity has done with the advent of new tech, its really only a matter of time.
