So basically, you value the idea of a journey behind the art, more than the quality of the art piece itself?
Because depending on how you look at it, it actually can be very interesting to analyze how an AI decides to use information.
It may be easy to dismiss the AI as something that just magically creates whatever is popular.... But I'd say the AI is more like a mirror, it takes on a style depending on the information you have been feeding it, and the kinds of images it generates will be reflective of the history of styles it has been adapting to.
After all, for as "soulless" it may be in the sense that AI are not people, they still are manmade inventions that reflect their userbase as much as their creators, like any other workpiece.
