I feel like theres a better way to answer this, when you touch something you dont think about the mathematical process, you just touch it, so clapping is touching your hands together fast and repeatedly. Idk if its a typical thing, but at least here chatgpt gets really hyperfixated on one or two parts of something and doesnt really try to give you another answer apart from mathematical, which is clearly causing distress
