I don't see A I replacing jobs anytime soon like what tech ceos and the media likes to claim. Its just an augmenting tool used by other professionals. Their absurd claims are often used as a scares tactic to manipulate stock prices to keep investors interested as they are still in a bubble. Whats funny is if you noticed their predictions often keeps failing every year when they keep repeating the same thing over and over again since 2022 now that jobs will be replaced and extinct. Its just a bunch of noise as i just ignore those predictions. The so called A I today is nothing than a software stack that runs on servers in the cloud ran by A I SaaS companies. Almost all LLM weights are written entirely in python using the pytorch framework which is code it's self. I don’t like calling it A I because its doesn't have any real true logic and reasoning, critical thinking or self conscious. We are very far from so called A GI which i doubt it would ever happen. Quantum computing may become mainstream by then but who knows. As a Cloud Engineer myself that works on the operations side of the DevOps spectrum, i understand the building blocks behind the scenes how all this stuff works because SRE and Cloud Engineers are the ones building and maintaining the cloud infrastructure that this stuff runs on. When chat gpt or claude has an outage, Site Reliability Engineers and Cloud Engineers have to fix it. Service outages happens all the time which is counterproductive if its so called goal is to replace jobs by tech ceos claims. Lol
