AI is not the fundamental problem in my opinion. Right now Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Amazon etc hold a ridiculous amount of information on you! Every place you have been to, every thing you have bought, everything you were doing before you bought it, every video you watch, every holiday, every picture you take, every search you make! They can use this information for now just to manipulate you to buy stuff but they can use the same information to influence any decision like who you vote for, what social groups you are encouraged to join etc etc, send crazy but they knew this all along and use the same strategies gambling companies use to target vulnerable minds, the human mind is a vulnerable mind. AI in my opinion will amplify the effects but these big tech companies which Microsoft kick started are the facilitators, they are the fundamental building block of the exploitative machinery. AI just makes it worse
