because of the discourse that I (unfortunately) came across on social media, I thought Karen Hao explicitly 'attacked' Sam in a way that's aggressive, unfounded, and unproductive, and that's why they had this little beef going on a while back. But after listening to her, I think her description of him is pretty grounded. I think it paints a clear picture and audience/reader can come to conclusions themselves. for me, it reads like Sam is like this pragmatic startup super mentor/enabler with business-acumen and investor mindset. it explains his seemingly shifting view points and his ability to attract high quality STEM talents, investors, AND lawmakers.
