i see a lot of ppl respond to this kind of sentiment with "just pick up a pencil that's what i did" and that's a really stupid way to approach it. if you want to get better as an artist, yeah, you're gonna have to pick up that pencil. what artists won't tell you bc they absolutely do like to gatekeep and act better than ppl is that you will not see any improvement at all unless you are consistent for, at minimum, 15-20 years.
