Look, it's true. AI is more efficient than humans. But we have to ask ourselves do we want all our future interactions just to be with robots? Yes, it's convenient if you go to a store and you can quickly check things out, same at petrol station ect. But everywhere? I dont think people of today will accept that. I think we as humans put value on things and if we value companies and places that also value human connection.. example; real empathy when your sick, listening to a real band at a venue or listening to comedy ect things than connect us, we will thrive. At the moment a lot of us are stuck because we like convenience and safety but we don't grow if we are never uncomfortable so if we allow greedy companies to value AI models over humans then we absolutely will be done for. But if people stop thinking about what's easy, if we start educating people to think critically for themselves and recognise the brainwashing then we will be fine. I think it's a lot to overcome. But I think if something like this was to over take us, (not intellectually as we know it will) but as a civilization it would take decades, because it would be about deconditioning the next generation as they will never know a world without this technology so will fear not having it. Just as we know of the internet and all the good and bad it brings - a lot of us would feel lost without it. We just have to find balance just as we always have with new technology, we've always created new tools and needed to adapt with it. For me it's about the companies and governments that would be will to overlook people for ai. Our generation needs to be able to speak up. After all we are valuable to these companies because we are the consumers and they profit off our attention and our money... If we turn away from them, block seeing their company.. don't buy from them ect, it forces them to look at what they're doing. But it needs people to come together. Can't just be a few people you know protesting about it. A real blackout or something. We are lucky enough to have so many willing and capable minds out there, and I don't think technology is evil I just think we need ethical people in charge and that's the biggest threat to us right now.
