This is why self driving in its current form will never be viable. It's the legal angle. If a driver gets in a crash you can sue their insurance company and get a modest settlement. If a self-driving car gets in an accident, you can sue the car company for far more than an insurance company. Until safe driving is 100% safe, It'll never fly.
