@slothguy_ There's a lot that goes into productions, such as directing and editing. If a script is bad, the writer may not be at exclusive fault, but maybe the director and editor for not stepping back and saying "this is bad. We will help fix this." The quality of stuff has gone down over the years, and this has a lot to do with corporations being too scared to take risks. Those same corporations are eager to ally themselves with ai. So, even if ai does replace writers, it won't matter much in terms of quality writing if executives shoot down any creative ideas either way.
To clarify, I do not like big corporations. I never claimed to do so.
