The hardware and software AI runs on is made by humans. So idk if it will ever be able to make that hardware and software itself. It needs to learn how to mine and design circuits and code well enough. Also, all the training data is manmade. If humans become extinct, AI will only be able to train itself from AI, and I’m not sure if that will turn out well for the AIs. Then again, AI could probably discover new facts like humans do sometimes.
