i dont think i can consider myself disabled, but i have aphantasia and am an artist. i cannot create images in my head and can only think by “feeling” the concept of something and talking to myself. kinda like if you saw images in your head with the back of your eyes. even with the limitation of not being able to picture my own concept, and ai could easily make a concept for whatever ideas i have and make a picture for me to follow, i never will.
getting over the hill of being unable to visualize my ideas has been my favorite part of my artistic process. my process shows grit, humanity, expression. its been the easiest way for me to express myself and the oddities in my mind when i cant directly VISUALIZE it. i can truly allow creativity to flow through my feelings and my body rather than my minds eye. my art flows with me, ai would kill that life.
