I loved the video, but this doesn’t seem to be a difficult self-driving challenge. A well-marked, paved, single-lane road in daylight with no significant visual distractions, no pedestrians, and no unexpected weirdness - this is the type of self-driving use case that is already solved. All of the current engineering effort is underway to solve the 0.1% of circumstances that are exceptionally novel, ambiguous and confusing, like weird construction patterns and cases in which the road doesn’t match the map. I think this road must get its reputation not from the road itself but from human drivers that push beyond their limits - something that the Tesla will not do. All that said, this was a really fun video to watch! Thank you for posting it!
