A lot of the "concerns" raised by Marcus and others about people's political positions being swayed by convincing arguments is a strange one. In a democracy it shouldn't be "concerning" that a political position held by the population is constantly in flux and susceptible to change. That's what a thinking and educated population does when confronted by novel arguments and ideas. I get the distinct impression that Marcus and others like him are in the business of "managing" democracy and fixing its boundaries, rather than letting democracy happen. Everyone from every political persuasion will use AI to refine their rhetoric, it will be a level playing field. So why the wringing of hands?
