Humans rewrite the guidelines of how medicine is practiced around various conditions for various specialties. But I can see that getting replaced....later rather than sooner though
In terms of what someone wants to research, AI can't ask the right questions, it's not as scatter brained as us humans suddenly making odd connections that we ourselves are sometimes not sure of the train of thought that led to them, inspiration hits from all sorts of factors and background information and sensory information after all
Either way, we have a ton of stuff we're absolutely blind about in medicine, so at least, as doctors or researchers we can actually focus on those things instead for a couple of decades -- maybe we'll perfect multiple sclerosis diagnosis and treatment, the plethora of confusion in Rheumatology, oncology and the microbiome -- all the weird little conditions we will inevitably miss
So if more stuff in medicine is cheaper to treat, hopefully the money saved goes towards all the stuff that costs a fortune financially and in attention span
