that's not what everyone is thinking about. yes, we all know it takes time and skills etc etc as of RIGHT NOW. what everyone is afraid of, is the *future* of this technology and all the possibilities that could come with it.
yes, right now some random person wouldn't be able to do something like this. but we live in the age of social media. let's say after watching this video someone feels inspired to create an app where you could just scan someone's social media accounts and have that person's face super imposed into some other video. i bet the app would blow up.
yes, of course it would take time to create the app. imagine if some existing A.I companies are inspired to create such an app. it's only about time that someone or some company will come up with an app, or a full fledged software like that.
