It's simple, and it's clear. AI 'art' is STOLEN. ALL OF IT. You can't have the moral high ground if you support a technology that came out of theft. If you reverse-engineered an iPad, copied every technology, copied the OS and manufacturing process, then tried to sell it as your own product, who do you think you'd be sued by? No consent was given to train their AI models. What do you think would happen if AI was trained on engineering texts and manufacturing processes of companies without their consent to create clone products without the need for engineers or developers? Would you still be on board then? You may say 'AI is a tool', but you know what? So is a lock pick. You can use it to get into a car you locked yourself out of legally, or you can break into someone's house. One use is legal, you know, the one that doesn't involve STEALING.
