"AI art" is just... These arguments could keep going forever. And trying to start doing art in a more professional capacity myself (talking commissions), it's scary to think that I might already be pushed out because of this parasite. It's terrifying that when my skills progress, there is a chance that instead of building a career I'd be building my own grave and feeding the very thing that someone else would use to replace me and leave me, well, without a career I hate the arguments made in support of AI. "Ohh, it's just doing the same thing people are!!" "Ohh, it's not unethical it's creative", arguments like this made, completely ignoring the fact that it's quite literally just pattern recognition You made these same points way better than I could, I just had to rant about it. The one good thing is that, at least for the time being, I can differentiate genuine art from AI generated images because AI literally does not have an art style, it's an incoherent melding of every image it's been trained on. This channel of argument might never end, and that's scary because the longer the people can't agree, the longer AI companies can continue destroying the creative sphere I'm trying to establish myself within. It's a parasite. There is no other way for me to say it.
