What you're missing, but more importantly what the AI owners are missing, is that it's all well and good making AI so good that it takes all our jobs, but if very few people are working then who will be buying the things and services these AI companies will be making? Take a car insurance company for example. Sure it will be great at the start when it drastically cuts it costs by replacing it customer service staff, but scale that up across all industries and very soon no one will be able to afford a car anyway because they are not working. Add into that AI self driving vehicles that rarely if ever, crash, then insurance becomes obsolete. Plus no one will be getting taxis because we have no money to either pay for a taxi or go anywhere in one. Amazon rejoices in creating new state of the art warehouses which are almost fully automated but what happens when no one actually buying anything? And let's be clear, rich people don't buy from Amazon - it's us 'little people' doing that. Yes the very same people who will have no jobs. So AI owners might be laughing now, but let me tell you, as quick as the AI takeover of our lives will be, the complete collapse of the very industries that make the rich their money will come about even quicker. And as history shows, when the poor are pushed to the limit, it doesn't end well for those at the top.
