People in comment section bashing him needs to understand few things,
1. If all are left without jobs, and only few are super rich, then there will be anarchy and civil war will happen.
2. If in the initial stages of AI progress, people starts losing jobs, economy slows down, revenue starts declining, no company will spend on IT as much due to tight balance sheets. AI R&D slows down. DEADLOCK situation for Big Tech Companies.
3. Even with Universal Basic Incomes which will be only for basic needs of course, no one's gonna buy iPhones, fancy cars with that, so its not as easy as you think to run an economy.
4. If AI doesn't create more jobs then Governments will also loses power to Companies.
