Really fascinating and sobering conversation with Geoffrey Hinton — it’s rare to hear such candid insight from someone so deeply involved in the foundations of AI. His concern feels genuine and urgent. It’s clear he’s not fearmongering, just laying out hard truths we need to grapple with.
That said, I couldn't help but notice the host subtly sidestepping the Elon Musk topic at 00:37:16 . It stood out, especially given Musk’s prominence in the AI conversation. A little more transparency or willingness to explore that angle would have added more depth to the discussion. Still, great interview overall — looking forward to more of these.
