AI should be used and kept at being a tool, kind of like a calculator. You can do many incredible calculations in seconds with a calculator, but if you dont know math (or dont learn math) it is just a plastic box. I know of teachers who use it to take of work that is typically repetitive such as building rubrics, or changing the wording of instructions to match the correct grade level. Like anything it can have a good place, but is being incredibly missused by everyone.
