I'm not so sure anymore, that they will work flawlessly at all. There is so much development going in there, its already been a decade and still the cars make mindblowing mistakes that no human after 1 hour of driving training would do.
Also individual, selfdriving cars should be banned from the (inner) city and only self-driving busses should be allowed. Cars may enter for transportation purposes, but it should be made more expensive then.
