I am disgusted when I hear Hinton talk about AI as if it has free will.
He should know better than this. LLMs are just predicting the next word, based on what they are trained on.
It builds a language pattern, but does not understand this pattern.
It is not intelligent (we can't even describe what intelligence is) and it cannot think or reason.
