I empathize with artists who dislike the AI slop that now floods the internet due to the ease of the medium and the lack of care from its prospective artists. I use AI mainly because I am better at sculpting words and editing images than I am drawing from scratch, but I put care, love, and precision into what I produce. AI art is a medium like any other, and like every medium, there are good artists who put in effort ,love, and care and lazy people who just write a prompt and accept the first thing to pop out. For me an artist is someone who puts care, love, and precision in their craft. Writing, fighting, sculpting, animating, drawing, playing, transcripting, prompting, editing, analyzing, painting, and so many more are beautiful with care and ugly with indifference. I implore people not to judge the medium. Judge the individual artist by what they deem a finished work.
