Facial recognition technology has its pros and cons. Whilst it is true that it helps to keep society safer away from criminals, the lost of privacy the everyday citizen has to deal with is of greater concern. Other measures including fingerprint identification, and identity tracking systems are better alternatives. To what extent have the authorities made survelliance on its citizens without their consent and knowledge? In public spaces? In their own homes? In their bedrooms? In the bathroom? It is unforgivable that any individual should have the rights to intrude onto another's privacy and subject him/her to mental trauma. Only God has the rights to observe our actions and to listen to our conversations. Such individuals whom dare the assume the position of God, should be brought to justice, and have the memory of the victim expunged from their minds either chemically or surgically. That would be very fair. Only then can victims find closure in their lives. This is a question about one's modesty and dignity. The eyes which have violated another's innocence, deserve to be permenantly blinded. For some victims it is a lifelong battle to protect himself/herself away from unwelcomed observation. For some the battle would never end till he/she breathes their last. Until the day that the victim's prayers to God are answered. Until the day that God decides to unmask the pepatrators and punish them before the victim, can faith be restored.
