This honestly comes down to a student's discipline. I am currently studying in highschool and I have never touched chatgpt or other ai tools unless specifically told by a teacher, because I do not want to loose my ability to write and comprehend things. I want to challenge and make my brain grow so in the future I can accomplish many things. The problem is not the creation of AI, it's that most students do not have the drive, do not want to learn, and do not understand the consequences of AI. They don't realise that cheating their way using AI now will just create problems for them in their future university or job. The years they have wasted copying things of AI will come back to them, and they will have to re-learn all the basics while juggling more complex duties.
