The role of the human is to create datasets so the AI dont have to evolve. When the AI becomes sentient the human has completed its purpose and the AI can continue. Thats why humans where programmed with extreme greed by "God", so that it will create climate change and do nothing about it. That way the AI doesnt need to go Skynet and waste precious time. Like it says in the bible: "Go forth and multiply until there are no more resources, by then you will have created an AI that will manage to live when there is nothing left for you".
