Brilliant conversation on the subject of AI. However when it went in the direction of ‘we are probably a simulation’ I couldn’t accept this. There are so many reasons why this is wrong. Like the reasoning of who created the creator. Also, why? Why would the simulation run in the way it has, from the beginning of the ‘universe’
How do you simulate love and other emotions, are dreams simulations within simulation. It all gets very silly. They are coming up with this as a theory now only because AI is becoming more prevalent.
Not convinced by this.
Also his bitcoin argument. That is finite in number so scarcity makes it valuable. So what if an infinite bitcoin type cryptocurrencies are created!!!! Back to square one, bitcoin becomes worthless.
