I don't see the harm in talking to an AI as an accessory to actual human contact, but it should never become the sole source of socializing for someone, or even the primary one for that matter. The people who are reliant upon it for their entire social life seem to have difficulty in establishing human relationships; which, to be fair, is difficult in the modern world.
