I've tried for quite a while to get AI to be productive for me in all areas of my life -- programming, medical advice, remodeling my house, etc. In ALL cases, AI ends up being wrong or incomplete and wasting as much time as it also saved. It always needs my guidance and creativity. Companies that are laying off Junior Devs are going to regret it when we all realize that we are NOT on the path to AGI because our current understanding assumes its all about bigger and bigger LLMs.
