It’s probably because the AI has unfiltered info to go off of. The internet is filled with fucked up ppl that probably aren’t racist but are stupid and mindless and Decide to say and post stupid things. Like idk how it all works and stuff but I’d bet that’s just because AI could be drawn to gather info from things that are more debated and like popular on the internet. With everyone calling everyone racist and everything and since the AI has no moral value it could just be seeing that oh, according to these people this is the “narrative” that black ppl are a minority and that they aren’t treated with the same rights as white ppl ETC. so it constructs that as it’s own narrative and bases it’s decision off of that. It’s not the programmers fault but the internet and political talking point’s fault that the info could be taken that way.
